Sleep well...

Man, 88, opens fire in Holocaust museum, reports The Star.com, about which Unremitting Failure offers these wise words:

"It's kind of scary. By 88, you'd think even the biggest asshole would have mellowed some. This doesn't bode well for us. As a fellow asshole, we'd hoped to have tired by age 55 into sullen resignation. But we could go on and on, just like this guy. You have to hand it to him, though; anybody who can get out of the house at 88 is doing okay. This guy went on a shooting spree. Guess it's true what they say: hate keeps you young. "

There are lots of good stuff in Buddhist Blogs, two of which are:

"Turn around the light to shine within, then just return.
The vast inconceivable source can't be faced or turned away from.
Meet the ancestral teachers, be familiar with their instruction,
bind grasses to build a hut, and don't give up.
Let go of hundreds of years and relax completely.
Open your hands and walk, innocent."

”A monk once asked Chinese Zen Master Zhaozhou, “What is Buddha?”

Zhaozhou answered, “Go drink tea!”

The monk then asked, “What is Dharma?”

Zhaozhou answered, “Go drink tea!”

The monk persisted, “What is Sangha?”

Zhaozhou again said, “Go drink tea!”"

Before you go to sleep, read these things and make sure you sleep deep and you sleep sound:

  • Better sleep is associated with improved academic success- How long you sleep, when you sleep and how you wake up- they all influence how well you study various subjects.- Eurekalert
  • People who don't sleep well are likely to die early- Eurekalert
  • Women are more affected by poor sleep; men like it when they sleep well- but they both find living together is tough if they are not sleeping well- Poor sleep is associated with lower relationship satisfaction in both women and men- Eurekalert.
  • We remember what happened if we sleep immediately after learning it- Sleep may be important in regulating what we remember of our emotions- Eurekalert
