How to diet the right way- Paleo-diet

Saffron Chicken

Do we need to turn back the clock?- Paleo-diet:

"An article in today's Washington Post style section, 'Hunter-Gatherer Gourmet' (alternatively titled 'Paleolithic diet is so easy, cavemen actually did it') profiles a young D.C. woman who follows a paleo-diet along with a rigorous exercise plan. She eats no grains, salt, sugar, legumes or dairy products (her one concession is dark chocolate from time to time). In nine months, she has lost 10 pounds, no longer gets migraines, sleeps better, is allergy-free and her mood has improved."

Then what are we to eat?- "...only lean meats, fish and seafood, nuts, fresh fruits and fresh vegetables."

Do you think this will work?

Not for me, I am a veggie by birth- too many taboos even if I found this sensible, I can't go Paleo.

  1. I do not belong there.

Even if you are a non-veggie, you cannot be there with Paleo (edho car peru polanna irukku)

I too am a strict veggie. By birth (as well as by practice, hi hi...), somehow I do not like claiming myself 'by birth', when it comes to describing practices. It hurts the 'non' people. The next argument is, how dare you describe us as 'non', do you mean that you have horn in head?.

Ok, the comment de-routes to a different destination, I stop here.

  2. yes, it is not politically correct to claim certain things by birth, except for past injustices. Anyway it is interesting that this diet works the way it does. suppose a doctor prescribes such a diet, would you be willing to go with it?
