Sir John Simon, whoever he may be, is said to have complained to the
Times when it gave his age as 78 instead of 77. He wrote that the
Times had made a 'wounding error", which, I think is a very thoughtful
use of the word, accurate and displaying his sensitivity to ageing. A
more paranoid man would have used, 'murderous error', because when you
get to that age, you can't really tell how long you are going to live,
right?
what age one should be of concern?
ReplyDeletea. physical age - how one projects his age by way of appearance. nobody asks age nowadays, they presumes.
b. physiological age or mental age which is exposed when one is talked with. and
c. the biological age - the age you tell when asked. you can lie to which the above two points should support.
Anyway when you get past a certain age, you realise that everyday you are getting closer to death. That is the problem
ReplyDeletethat strengthen your resolve to stay young.
