I like reading here but I hesitate to post for neither do I have the vision nor the wisdom. And certainly not any skills either.
So, something I can do let me share with you. To the wonderful posters here a photograph of a bee in a mustard field in IARI (Indian Agricultural Research Institute - Pusa Institute).
(Taken with a simple Kodak automatic, minor adjustments on Adobe Photoshop CS2)
That's a good one SB. I have had a glimpse of your photographic skills in TCWJ. This is really good. That's a busy bee with its wings clapping while sucking the honey out of the flower. Pretty much like the world we are living in right now.
ReplyDeleteIt was the wings which made me keep the photograph.
ReplyDeleteI don't have the raw form now, for it was lost when my old computer crashed...I had worked on it on that. Now I cannot remove that watermark/name I placed on it. I'm sorry about that.
I felt that image was a metaphor for this blog. V Belong is like the flower...full of intellectual nourishment and the reader is the bee who imbibes it and then digests it in is mind into something as sweet and useful as honey.
I think you are too modest. The posts that I get to read in the Cricket Blog are as good as any other, even those columns in the print media.
ReplyDeleteVision and wisdom are what the reader brings in...
True to your metaphor of the bee and the flower, honey is made in the hive, right? It is you who make this sound good.
Others might think all this is boring, and they would be justified in that.
It is we, the readers who make meaning out of words.
For me this blog is like a post-card. Every post, be it a photo or an article, or a pointer to an interesting site or column, has personal element here.
So, anything goes. A quote, a mention of an interesting book/film/joke, photo, cartoon, links, a short poem, even something you scribbled, everything will be appreciated here, I feel.
Regards,
For once I am in absolute and complete agreement with Baskar.
ReplyDeleteSB we are looking forward to your posts here.
