Britons At Work

Some statistics may be false, and some true- but all statistics is fascinating.

Here is a sexy stat from Britain- I found it in The Week dated 1.11.2008.
  • 92% of all Britons define themselves as heterosexual
  • 4% are homosexual
  • 2% are bisexual
  • 2% don't know (trying out on goats, eh?)
  • 37% lost their virginity before the age of 16
  • 41% between 16 and 18
  • 12% between 19 and 20
  • 8% after the age of 21
(90% of the Britons have gone and done it before our good boys here get to the age of marriage and think about looking at the girls!)
  • The average Briton has enjoyed 9 sexual partners
  • About 20% have had more than 10 partners
  • The senior citizens are more virtuous than the younger set- the 65+ age group average a lowly 6, but those in 16-24 age group already have experienced sex with 9 partners!
  • About 20% of all have had sex at their workplace
75% of Britons are satisfied with their sex lives, and 20% complain that they have a very high sex drive.

Reading all this makes me burn, with envy or indignation? God only knows.

But I can very well understand the angst of the Jihadi who is forced to live in this decadent culture, a dark world of bed-room eyes, and I can very well understand why he wants to blow himself up to escape its snares (What happens later in heaven with plenty of nubile virgins for the taking is none of your business).

But what I don't get is, why is he doing it here in India?- I have friends here who haven't lost their virginity years after marriage!

  1. I am surprised about the average no. of partners per Briton. Amazing how they managed it. I will be interested in knowing the comparable statistics for Americans and see who is better or 'worse'

  2. As per a study, brits are more promiscuous than the americans. But man 9 partners...wow do they eat a lot of Pomegranates?..hmmm....:)

  3. What a lovely post, Baskar.
I believe the number is even higher because many women don't tell the truth. Even if men brag about their partners, they are less secretive.
The Kinsey report had shocked the world with their findings about human sexuality. Now we know that when we say 9, we mean 13-14 or even 20.

Your post is also dangerous. It may cause severe heart burn to Indians. And sex, mostly its absence, is one of the major reasons for violence.

    Ha..ha... :)

  4. Definitely. But the enjoyment does not preclude one from envy and violence.

I read somewhere- hope this shocks no one- that when a man irrationally, obsessively, suspects his wife's chastity, it means that he is a latent homosexual. The logic is that he imagines his wife with the other man, and is filled with jealousy at his wife!

Sounds nutty, but someone respectable put this analysis. I am sorry I don't remember the source.

I think people who are prudes are mostly lechers at heart. They are fighting their instincts.

In another book I read, sorry I don't remember the name, Mohammed Atta the infamous 9/11 terrorist, who lived sometime in Germany or somewhere was obsessed with the uncovered arms of the women and the casual way they touch men in the shoulder and arms. He actually railed against them. You know where such anger lead him- straight into the brick wall (steel, is it?)

Promiscuity of this scale is shocking...

But it suits them, it seems. But I would like to know how many homeless children are there, and how they bring up their children. Here with one child per family situation, we have fewer and fewer relations, but over there, with multiple fathers and mothers, they have quite a large family situation, I think.

Someone who has been to Britain and back should post all about it here.

For me, it looks like some Martian, sorry it should be Venusian landscape!

  5. I don't remember, but will try to find the name.

Except by name, indians and pakistanis have same mindset i think- we blame them, they blame us (here in tamil nadu the politicians are creating quite a big ruckus about saving the Tamils in Lanka: they don't want to see the LTTE defeated. It is the end of Tamil Race, they say. To Lankans, we would look the same as what Pakistanis look to us, i think)

    Regards

  6. yes it is evident from the amount of comments this post has attracted. might have been unnoticed elsewhere.
our view on partners is different from what they practice in west.
they know each other before marriage and sex is the result of close proximity between opposite sexes unless otherwise it is forcibly avoided by sociocultural pressures.
the places wherethey select their partners i am not surprised by the partners they had. like we see a lot of girls to choose a life partner.

  7. Did anyone notice?

The header of this post says, Britons at work, but in the recent comments columns, it says, Britons at wofk!

How did any of you make this happen?

You have a zany sense of humour, haven't you!

  8. Bas I noticed that mistake in the original post and corrected it to 'work' from 'wofk'. But in the comments section it somehow retains the original word.
