Hmmm... What have we here?

Intelligent Life:

A story of friendship: Man resurrects friend's ashes into tattoo- KOMO News.

"About 20 years ago when Courtney was just a teen, Comstock made him a necklace. Courtney wore it every day. Courtney decided he'd have that necklace tattooed on his leg. But that's only part of the story.
Comstock was cremated, and Courtney got some of the ashes. "In this tattoo, there's the ashes of David Comstock," said Courtney. With the permission of Comstock's children, tattoo artist Buddy Green mixed just a little of the ashes into the black. He said he's honored to be doing this for two old friends."

Dumb People:

###If your parents can't pay, you must - Philadelphia enquirer

"The Havertown man is nearly 50 and struggling to pay his mortgage and $100,000 in student loans incurred by his daughter, a recent Albright College grad.
Last year, Grant was sued because his mother, Diana Fichera, did not pay an $8,000 bill at a Delaware County nursing home, where she rehabilitated after surgery."

###There are many ways to kill yourself- but this is gruesome: foxnews

"Taxi driver decapitated himself in his cab in what appears to have been a gruesome suicide.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, tied a rope to a lamppost and the other end around his neck before driving off in Southwark, southeast London, on Friday.
His body was found by police slumped in the car — with his severed head yards away."

###This is the kind of advice that schoolboys need- but what about you? - Huffington Post.

"A National Health Service leaflet is advising school pupils that they have a "right" to an enjoyable sex life and that regular intercourse can be good for their cardiovascular health...
...Alongside the slogan "an orgasm a day keeps the doctor away", it says: "Health promotion experts advocate five portions of fruit and veg a day and 30 minutes' physical activity three times a week. What about sex or masturbation twice a week?""

Clever things about 'em:

###Don't slap your kids when they swear- the habit is healthy: "Why the #$%! Do We Swear? For Pain Relief": Scientific American

"Bad language could be good for you, a new study shows. For the first time, psychologists have found that swearing may serve an important function in relieving pain.
The study, published today in the journal NeuroReport, measured how long college students could keep their hands immersed in cold water. During the chilly exercise, they could repeat an expletive of their choice or chant a neutral word. When swearing, the 67 student volunteers reported less pain and on average endured about 40 seconds longer."

Be Happy.

  1. suicide : terrific. would he have wanted to stop it at the last moment when it pained. It reminds me of an more terrific instance. one engineer at coimbatore wound himself, his wife and two children in his car and drove into a deep lake.

swearing : Aussies prove to best at them and on field. has some meaning.

  2. I liked the friendship sentiment of the tattoo news.

The story of a son paying for his mother's sins made me laugh- but someone has to pay.

The Taxi driver's death is gruesome- I can't guess what kind of pain drove him to it. Possible someone killed him that way and made it look like suicide.:(

What about that pamphlet giving good health tips to young kids? I suppose the next thing they will do is supply some nude pics for inspiration and motivation so that they don't lose out on their weekly exercises...

Swearing: Does this mean the Aussies feel more pain or less? Anyway most of us would agree they are such a pain in the ass and things like that.

    Keep smiling.

  3. that friendship thing is very touching. very emotional. like seeing god in a stone or space light. no arguements on that is possible.

kids thing its very silly. our people sent their sons to gurukula for their better learning and during those tenure the guru will make them devoid of such thinkings.

Now the children are exposed to plenty of obscene matters through the open and irresponsible media.

this will only make them stressful.

  4. "this will only make them stressful."

    What stressful?

You mean the stress of having to perform- do it twice or thrice every week: I see your point. This takes away the joy of it.

It is almost like marriage, I suppose.

  6. Yes, but where does suppression come in? If anything, they are suggesting indulgence!
