Odd news of Values- moral and family.

The world is not what we think it is-

An event to allow people to sign a "proclamation for morality” — which blames the country’s economic woes on its lack of morals and states the hope of America rests upon biblical values — should not have taken place in the state Capitol, opponents to the document say.

The three-page proclamation states, "This nation has become a world leader in promoting abortion, pornography, same sex marriage, sex trafficking, divorce, illegitimate births, child abuse, and many other forms of debauchery.”
It states that the federal government "is forsaking the rich Christian heritage upon which this nation was built.” It criticizes President Barack Obama for not taking a more active part in National Day of Prayer events while signing a proclamation declaring June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month. Kern’s proclamation refers to homosexual activities as immoral behavior.

Those people are welcome here, here at Mumbai and Mangalore.

And then family values: you thought children like to spend time with parents? No, you didn't? Okay, here is the truth-

For families who live apart, the notion that ‘quality time’ comes from time spent together as a family is rather exclusionary. Not only that, but Pia Christensen from the University of Copenhagen believes that underlying this notion is an assumption that family time is ‘good’ for children. After listening to the views of English children living in the north of England about time with their families, Christensen found that these ten- to eleven-year-olds did not actually want more time with their families.
