Quite a jumble...

I don't know what you think of me (no one has yet told me I have a dirty mind), but the stuff I find on the net, I can't not keep myself from sharing them with you- for the sheer oddness of human behaviour-

Take a look at this: can you resist speaking about this to people?-

A Russian woman has set a new world record, lifting a 14-kg. glass ball with her vagina muscles. Tatiata Kozhevnikova of Novosibirsk, aged 42, has been exercising her intimate muscles for fifteen years, and has already made her entrance into the Guinness Book of Records as the possessor of the world’s strongest vagina, she proudly told Life.ru.

“After I had a child, my intimate muscles got unbelievably weak. I read books on Dao and learned that ancient women used to deal with this problem using wooden balls,” she said. “I looked around, saw a Murano glass ball and inserted it in my vagina. It took me ages to get it out!”

These Russian girls are amazing...

I think to regain some sense of sanity, we have to divert ourselves with some serious news:

So for 10 years, scientists studied Potamopyrgus antipodarum, a New Zealand freshwater snail that comes in a sexual and an asexual version. They counted the snails and the number of parasite infections for each variety.

Clones that were plentiful at the beginning of the study became more susceptible to parasites over time. As parasite infections increased, the once plentiful clones dwindled dramatically in number, the scientists write in the July issue of the journal American Naturalist. Some clonal types disappeared entirely.]

Meanwhile, sexual snail populations remained more stable over time. This, the authors say, is exactly the pattern predicted by the parasite hypothesis.

What is parasite hypothesis?

See, the bad thing about reproduction sans sex is you make clones, and clones, and more clones. Every organism has the same DNA, other than mutations that occur over time. If a parasite figures out how to exploit a vulnerability, the entire species can be doomed.
But with good ol' sex comes unique combinations of DNA and genetically unique individuals. A parasite may kill many, but it's likely that some organisms won't be vulnerable and the species will live on.

I am sure you find all this stuff interesting.

And to feel good and noble, let's now take a look at non-violence:

In his book, Creating True Peace, Thich Nhat Hanh gives us brief practice to try to cultivate a greater sense of peace toward ourselves and the entire world:

  • Breathing in, I am aware of violence within myself and within the world.
  • Breathing out, I am determined to look with the eyes of compassion at the violence within myself and within the world.

Again, this isn’t something to just look at and judge whether it would be good or bad. This is something try on and see for yourself how it feels. Feel free to try it out. A little more nonviolence in the world, I’m guessing, would be a step in a healing direction individually and globally and it all starts right here.

In practicing intentional non-violence, we actually experience effects of well-being, claims Elisha Goldstein.

Quite interesting, but this, does this news tell you that God loves non-violence?

A Ukrainian politician who had been excommunicated by the Russian Orthodox Church for his attempts to revive ancient pagan cult was killed by lightning on Saturday while on a fishing trip, Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda reported on Monday.

He was seeking to revive Runvera – a Ukrainian sect that worships the Sun God Dazhbog.

If you ever wondered why people are converting to Christianity, now you know it.

Be Happy, no matter what happens.
