Browser tips for the net-savvy

(We are not net-savvy or web-savvy; if we were put under close scrutiny we will reveal ourselves as not even mouse-savvy. So when our friend Dheepak Kumar volunteered to tip us a trick or two on making better use of our browsers, we were reduced to tears- and that is not merely because we use Google Chrome and cannot figure out how to fit in. However, it is with immense gratitude that we pass it on to you...) - பாஸ்கர்

1. Using the scroll button in our mouse to click on a hyperlink makes
it to open in a new tab...

2. Firefox users right click on the main toolbar, select customize and
find and drag the "new tab" & "downloads" icons and put them to use on
d browsers toolbar...

2. Enabling a bookmark toolbar like "the popular toolbar in our IE
"Links"" will be very useful... And for the weblinks which have
distinct icons, we can delete its name and it will save more space for
more shortcut links to be placed instead....

3. Using Xmarks apllication / addon in all our web browsers might be
of great worth as it helps one to synchronise their bookmarks from a
personal account which saves all our bookmarks and retrieves and also
saved passwords(optional)...

4. A lot of personalised websites' search engines can be integrated in
the search bar which is normally set with google as it default search
engine...

My screen shot attachment might help...

etc... if u want more specific details or know better.. then pl lemme know...

  2. I think you should include Twitter in your search engines- in my experience, it gives you some tremendous links, especially if you are searching for something current.
